Our founder, Jocelyn Stoddard, spent four years as a high school teacher while quietly building a rental portfolio on the side. The day she retired from teaching — with dozens of Utah properties paying her mortgage — it became clear this strategy shouldn't stay a secret.

Jocelyn went from teaching high school to retiring on rental income in just four years — all while building a Utah portfolio one house hack at a time. Today she's a professional realtor, active investor, and author of Break Free, helping first-time buyers and new investors follow the same playbook. When she's not closing deals or writing, you'll find her on the jiu-jitsu mats.
